Going to Europe:
Coming Home is great!
But I do miss international traveling
I have to share a few things I learned about Italy an Greece. 
It is true Cars are smaller, but the people may not be. 
You sometimes have to shower with your toilet.... But they are very cute toilets.
Bidets can be refreshing.
1) The Greek, even when they use the Latin alphabet do not use the right letters.
2) In Naples (actually called Napoli in Italian) a Vespa is a family vehicle (1 child standing holding on to handle bars, father driving, mother on back, baby wedged between father and mother), really happened. This does not work in Rome (they wear helmets )
The ground floor in Venice (they spell it Venezia) smells.

Planes Trains do not Park and Fly with Rodeway in...

California Trip update... (The Planes trains and Automobiles trip)
Staying in a Rodeway Inn and doing a park and fly is 3 healthy steps up from sleeping in a roadway.
SFO is hard to escape from (for me)... Could be that I was just feeling crappy and Frustrated, but man that place is frustrating...
Riding a bike (thanks Nick Theobald) up Mount Diablo is much better when you do not get bitten by a rattle snake (save all the cramping and stomach pain, from being old and Morgan Ecklund)
So good to have linner with Christina Ecklund and her beautiful daughters, So Good!
Taking the first Caltrain on Sunday gets you to the 10:07 Coast Starlight Train just in time... Like just just in time..
If you get on the train at San Jose, no way you are getting in to an observation car seat. Old lady that was snoozing in the  observation car seat you are lucky, I am not one to push an old lady out a chair...
The train ride is nice, full of Steinbeck country (brown hillsides green valleys).
Renting a car in San Luis Opispo and Dropping it in LA saves you a ~$120 drop off fee...
If you want to get to the San Luis Obispo Airport on Sunday.. knock down the old lady and jump in the Taxi... Cause there is no public transit that gets you there and walking takes a while..
Crashing with your bud at a Ranch on San Bernardo Rd... Is Awesome (Thanks Tim Cowan Caleb Cole (all though you will never read this))!
Getting the band (CriticEyes) back together was amazing even if you were not in the band (Thanks Mike Metzler, Cody Pendant, Duane Kneller , Tammy Marie Moss, John Michael Moss Jr., Gemi/Timmy Lisa, Alex S.  (Friend requests pending))
I do not care what you say Mcarthy's is different, but good.
Nice to drop by and see old friends at work @stephan Baxter .
Surfing after 5 years is still fun even if you only catch 3 waves (Thanks Timmy and Brian L. Ezzell)
A snake bite story from 14 years ago can come up and bite you... Really Andres and Jill met the Doctor that treated me at the John Muir Medical Center. Random they were at a house in Tahoe when they did.
The drive down to LA is so much better when you break it up with and talk with a great friend @Annette Scheid.
It makes me very sad I did not get to see everybody this trip  (@Teri Peterson @Marge Collins @Trina Baumsteiger)... Hope to do it again soonish.
Number one question when you visit friends after moving to Vermont...
Why Vermont?
I think there is a maximum number of friend you can mention in a posting...
You may have to wait 1:45 for a shuttle if you park and fly at the Rodeway Inn in Boston MA! ARGH!!!!
